Dear Friends & Customers, First let me thank you for your business and support throughout the years. Without you Sawyers would not be celebrating our 125th anniversary. Joseph E. Sawyer opened the doors for business back in 1883; the horse and buggy days. Sawyers sold wagon wheels, horse shoes, heavy hardware and a host of other products of the times. Over the years Sawyers changed with the times and needs of our customers. Today, 125 years later Sawyers focus is on plumbing, heating, industrial and contractor supplies, a big transition from where we started. That transition of product mix was a direct result of your needs and your advice. You our faithful customer and friend have played a vital role in our success and longevity throughout the past many, many years. It has truly been a rewarding partnership and we want to celebrate that partnership in 2008. We have some exciting events planned for this year. Keep an eye on our site from time to time; we will be posting up-coming events as they unfold.

Saturday, August 2^nd 2008 in celebration of J. E. Sawyer & Company 125^th Anniversary we will host the City of Glens Falls Walking Tour. The funds raised will go to the Feeder Canal Alliance in support of the fine work they do in our community. Starting at Sawyers on Glen St. we will walk a portion of the canal and tour the highlights of our beautiful city. A $10.00 entrances fee gets you a goody-bag and custom anniversary T-shirt. It will be a lazy walk for all to enjoy, bring the kids and the whole family, it will be a beautiful sunny day, guaranteed!
